ASUU, FG Fail To Agree On Contentious Issues

THE hope for the re-opening of
universities in the shortest possible
time was dashed Thursday after the
Federal Government constituted
committee chaired by the Benue
State Governor, Hon. Gabriel Suswam in a meeting with the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, failed to agree on the contentious issues.

There were expectations that ASUU
could call off the strike after the meeting as the National President of the union
Dr. Nasir Fagge had previously said that calling off the strike was dependent upon what the Federal government would place on the table in respect of the implementation of the 2009 agreement.

ASUU-strike-Cartoon Speaking to
Vanguard on the outcome of the
meeting, Dr. Fagge said, "Well it was inaugural meeting, so naturally nothing much was achieved.

It is just that the chairman (Governor Gabriel Suswan) told us how he wants to carry out the assignment. "And then he said that he thinks we should have a sub- committee that will liaise with TETFund and National Planning Commission to get more information on the technical report that was submitted by the Needs Assessment Committee and on the basis of that, projects will be identified and will now look for the funding."

On the promise he made that after the meeting the union would take a stand depending on what the government
would place on the table, he said,

"There is no change any way because the meeting today is just considering one aspect of the agreement, which is funding. "So what we did today was to have an inaugural meeting on funding and our members nation wide said nothing short of implementation of all aspects of the agreement will make them call off the strike, so like I said whatever meeting we are invited, we will go and give our members information.

like I said today's meeting was an
inaugural meeting nothing much was achieved there order than how to go andbimplementing the Needs Assessment Report which is an aspect of funding aspect of the agreement, so we will wait and see whatever government decides to do with the agreement, we are there."

PHOTO: Beyonce And Jay Z Called Demons

Area activist Rocky
Twyman and other
protesters set up
shop outside The Mrs.

Carter Show at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. warning Mrs Obama and other concert goers that Beyonce and Jay Z were possessed by demons.

According to him, Beyonce Knowles is a demon and if you attend her concert, you are consorting with evil. More so he believes that Jay-Z and Beyonce's music is "corrupting young people," especially the ones in the Black community.

Carrying signs with slogans such as "Jay-Z and Beyonce Are Possessed by Demons," the group urged Michelle Obama to
refrain from attending the concert with her daughters, Sasha and Malia, to protect them from exposure to demonic principles and unholy messages.

Twyman, 64, of Rockville, a retired public relations consultant who describes himself as a devout Christian, came to public attention several years ago when he founded the Pray at the Pump Movement, a group that held prayer vigils at local gas stations praying that prices would drop.
He said, "We believe that this couple is virtually destroying our youth," Twyman said.

"If you go on the Internet, you'll see stories about how they're both part of the Illuminati and you can see Jay-Z's use of the Satanic triangle symbol when he performs. Jay-Z even declared himself to be God by referring to himself as Jehovah, and we don't think that this is the image that our young people need to be glorifying."

Some of people who encountered him were not receptive to his message as they were screaming or yelling 'Beyonce!' or showing pictures of her in front of him.
Twyman has vowed to continue with his protest.

"I'm going to look up the
Beyonce tour schedule and see where she will be and when. Then I'll get in touch with our people in different states and try to do what we've done here, all over the country."

Twyman group of protesters is often
small but he says he is not bothered about the number because the Bible that says 'When two or three are gathered together in my name I will be with them and I will bless them.'

Just as the show was winding down, Kris Jenner's co-host, Diddy told the audience that he had one more surprise. And with that a video was shown of Kim!
Though baby North West was nowhere to be seen, Kim delivered a heartwarming, emotional message to her mom, who is still finding her way as a talk show host.
Here is what she had to say:

Hi Mom, I just wanted to say
congratulations on your new show.
I'm sorry I couldn't be there in

I watch you every single day. You are so amazing, you really were born to do this. I just wanted to say I love you and have an amazing show.
Now that Kim has made her first
appearance on Kris, we are wondering when baby North is going to show up.

Funke Akindele Finally Opens Up On What Really Happened

It’s all about other women, lack of
attention, just coming in and going out at will, abuse, etc. Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has opened up on the reasons behind the crash of her marriage.
Although Oloyode is now begging her to come back, there is a “spiritual” angle tobthe saga.

Below are the revelations by Funke
Akindele:

In an interview with E24-7 Magazine, she disclosed that she only enjoyed the marriage in the first 2 months.
“I was abused emotionally and verbally.

Really, I felt we could work things out when the trouble started two months after the marriage, but I made up my mind and shut the door of the marriage atbhim when the trouble was coming to me too much.

“I stooped to conquer him; buried my fame and name to make him my husband, but it did not work. At a point in time, I asked if it’s not the same man that was all over me before we married.

“He nearly got me off my career. He
called me severally; I did not pick his calls but when he realized my silence was tormenting him, he took to Facebook. It’s alright.

Ask him when did he come to my house last? He left me here in my rented apartment with nothing and he will just dash in and dash out. He gets abusive, caustic anytime we have a
misunderstanding and often told me to my face, he’s going to his wife in Oshodi.”

At Oshodi, she said, she received a warm welcome from the wife, Fadekemi, but constant humiliation from Kehinde.

“She [Funke Akindele] was really loved by the kids at home; she enjoyed taking them out to eateries and stores.
Sometimes, they spent the weekend with her and she followed them to school.
The children will surely miss her,” our source, close to the family, said. Now that the cookie has crumbled, Kehinde, she said. has been calling and sending text message ages begging her to come back.

“He sent me sms that he has seen a
buyer for his house at Adeniyi Jones for
N40million.

He asked me if he should sell it and that if he does, he will buy me a new car and a rent me a new apartment. Why now? I don’t need all that, I want my sanity.”
After she ignored him, he sent her another text abusing her and calling her names. “So you can see that he does not mean well for me,” she re- iterated.
