Kanye’s call for boycott of LV fails miserably. Fashion brand sells out

It seems like quite a number of people don’t like Kanye and they spent their rmoney to prove it. A few days after he called for a Boycott of giant fashion brand
Louis Vuitton, the exact opposite of what he was hoping for happened. Louis Vuittion sold out and a new record was even set for online sales.

After Kanye West told people to
not buy any Louis Vuitton until
after January the company took
action and sent an e-mail to
their best customers who
responded in a huge way. The
company says that sales surged
this week and when final
numbers came in that a new
record was set for online sales
and that customers responded to
the attack by Kanye by coming to
the brand for the first time and
there were many small
transactions by people who
wanted to show their support for
anything that is anti-Kanye.”
CDN reports
During that radio interview Kanye said
“They think I don’t realize my power.” Guess he’s not as influential as he thinks
he is.

GQ lists Obama,The Smiths, Lady Gaga & Miley Cyrus as World’s “LEAST” influential people 2013

I don’t know about their list or maybe influential means a different thing to them because Obama & the Smiths are
very much influential ..They listed
Obama, Will Smith & Family, Justin Bieber (I agree), Lady Gaga ..

See their reason below
Time once again for the list no one wants to be on: GQ’s third annual collection of people who’ve overstayed their turns in the spotlight and used their fame for not a good goddamn thing.

President Obama

He can blame Republicans in Congress all he likes and get away with it because congressional Republicans are the worst.

But the fact remains that I have spent the majority of this man’s presidency watching bad things happen, then hearing
a thoughtful speech about how we gotta make sure the bad things never happen again, and then watching as nothing gets
done. Next time there’s an election, I want Nate Silver to analyze the data and tell me who to vote for so that I don’t end up casting my ballot for a very eloquent hat stand.

Lady Gaga

People will only go along with your whole meta-art tampon costume if you’ve got the songs to go with it.
Will Smith and family
After Earth was just like Battlefield Earth except it didn’t give us the courtesy of being utterly laughable. This wasn’t simply a vanity project—it was a double
vanity project, in which Smith made a naked bid to hand over his “King of the Fourth of July” crown to his son and fellow squint-actor, Jaden Smith, who infamously
tweeted this year that “If Everybody In The World Dropped Out Of School We Would Have A Much More Intelligent Society.” In just a few years, Will Smith
has gone from one of America’s most beloved stars to one of its most despicable. Oooh, what a twist! Shyamalan-esque!
Prince George For all the coverage he got, Prince George
should have been a special baby.

An alien baby. A baby with perpetually bleeding stigmata wounds. But no. After all that
breathless anticipation, we were
presented with just another stupid
newborn who cries and shits and can’t even decide on an eye color yet. What a disappointment to the world. Do more cool stuff, baby!

Miley Cyrus

Didn’t we already go through this with Madonna, and Janet Jackson, and Britney, and Xtina, and that one video in which Alanis was naked on a subway with her
hair in front of her boobs and it was really awkward for everyone? Miley spent the entire year foam-finger-blasting herself,
licking sledgehammers, and basically trying every inane strategy she could think of to rile up America’s few remaining pearl clutchers. What’s sad is
that it totally worked.

Justin Bieber

When you’re a just-legal megastar raising hell and being a brat, people will still give you a chance. They’ll blame the money
and the fame and probably your parents.
But once you lose the baby fat, there are no viable excuses. You are officially just ablittle shit for pissing in buckets andbcursing out Bill Clinton and writing then exact wrong thing in the guest book at the Anne Frank house and spitting on people and having your monkey confiscated. Also, he dresses like a blind magician.

US rapper Wale explains why he's never been to Nigeria until now

"I grew up poor. We lived in DC, in thevprojects. Getting a ticket to Nigeria on $v20, 000 income yearly, to my family thatvwasn't really... you know...like I was a 15 year old with a decent job, I'm not going to save up to go to Nigeria. That wasn't what I was thinking when I was that age.

And then I was in college and the money tight right then. And then I get this record deal when I dropped out of school, you're running around so much you don't even have time to see your own parents"

Iceprince Explains Why He Initially Denied His Baby Jamal

Prince denied being responsible.
Only to flaunt his baby, Toluwalase Jamal, months later.

In a new interview with Showbizplus, Iceprince explained why he Initially denied his baby.

How has fatherhood changed you?

It has taught me to save my money. It is a huge difference and a huge change in lifestyle. You become more matured.

You initially denied having a baby?

It was complicated back then, I didn’t really know what was happening and I wasn’t sure of certain things. So the best I had to do then was denying it and sort out things first. Now I know
he is my child and I have done
everything as a father ever since.

What is the relationship like with
his mother?

I speak with her often and it is usually about the baby. That is all for now.

University non-academic staff strike looms

Non-academic staff of Nigerian
universities are prepared to go on strike over the federal government’s failure to
implement an agreement signed in 2009 , Nation reports.
The Non Academic Satff Union (NASU) took the decision at the end of a conference in Owerri.
The communique stating this fact was signed by Deputy President/Chairman of the Universities Trade Group, Comrade Sunday Adeyemi and the Deputy General
Secretary, Comrade F.J Ajayi.

The Union asked President Goodluck Jonathan to review of the agreement within the next three months.
They also advised the Federal
Government not to add to the negative impact that the Academic Staff Universities Union (ASUU) strike already had in the country.

It would be recalled that the Nigerian government has given a December 4 ultimatum to all university lecturers to resume.

Nollywood Actress Adaora Ukoh Explains Why Séx Roles Are Not For Her

Nollywood Acterss Adaora Ukoh
remains undaunted when people talk about her. Now that she is married several months back, she is not finding marriage as smooth as a lot of movies she plays have made once made her believe.
“Well, I just noticed that it’s really not an easy world. When I look at the Omotolas that have kept theirs, I give them kudos.
It’s really not easy because men come with a lot of drama and they want to hold it down for you at that point when they’ve entered. And sometime it looks like you are trying to fight it out,” the
actress said.
Adaora further declared that séx role was not really her thing when it came to movies.
“When you look at every movie, there is usually a theme. Like the movie I’m shooting currently, there is séx scene but the producer decided to shoot it like a
silhouette, where you light the wall. You will be doing all the séx scenes but it will be showing on the wall. Not that I don’t do romance, I do romance in movies but I might not do outright showing the séx scene that probably could look vúlgar,” the actress concluded.

How N*ked Photos To Lover Allegedly Crashed Uche Iwuji’s Marriage…Top Banker Fingered

It is no longer news that the barely one year old marriage of controversial Nollywood actress, Uche Iwuji has reportedly crashed. What many,
especially her teeming fans are oblivious of is the huge role some unclad pictures of the pretty thespian allegedly play in thencollapse of the once happy union between Iwuji and her international businessman lover, Mr. Juwon Lawal.

In fact, unconfirmed information reaching Us has it that shocked and disappointedbLawal has abandoned his matrimonial home and fled abroad to calm his frayed nerves and possibly get over the betrayal.

Another unconfirmed report claimed that Iwuji’s amorous affair with the Managing Director of one of the foremost family banks in Nigeria was responsible for the many crises in their troubled marriage.

Lawal EE learnt reportedly heard that his wife was having a secret affair with the top banker and as well discovered some BBM/SMS messages exchanged betweenbher and her lover boy senior banker whose financial house just clocked 30 and still celebrating.

Some of the BBM chats included n*ked pictures of the actress, which she allegedly sent to her randy and married lover boy spoilt brat.

It was further alleged that after the
heartbreaking findings devastated Lawal abandoned his ‘darling’ wife and their new born baby for the States.

A close source who doesn’t want herbname mentioned, confirmed the marriage crash, claiming Iwuji had always been unlucky with love.

“Not just that, Uche is also back to
hustling; looking for movie roles and all that…See, Uche na good girl, but love has been bad and unfair to her.

Rememberthere was a guy she first co-habited with in Spain and at the end of the day nothing came out of it. And before that, she also dated footballer Joseph Yobo who later dumped her for ex-beauty queen, Adaeze Igwe. Then, Juwon, whom she met in London. The truth is that I really feel for her.”
However, in a recent chat with Yes
International Magazine, the pretty actress debunked the rumour of her marriage crash, insisting that her young family was still intact and waxing stronger.

ASUU calls ultimatum a joke

Lagos - Some university lecturers on
Thursday said that the Federal
Government directive on the reopening of Federal Universities, which also directed other members of staff to resume by December 4 or be sacked, was a joke.
They spoke in separate telephone
interviews with the News Agency of
Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
NAN reports that lecturers, under the aegis of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), had on July 1 started ‘comprehensive, total and indefinite’ strike in public universities across the
country.
The union members are protesting the non-implementation of some issues contained in an agreement it entered into with the Federal government in 2009.
Nyesom Wike, Supervising Minister of Education, however, earlier on Thursday, directed all Vice-Chancellors of Federal Universities to immediately reopen for
academic and allied activities.

He also directed the Pro-Chancellors and Vice-Chancellors to ensure that membersbof staff who resumed for work were
provided with the enabling environment for academic and allied activities.

The minister said that any academic Staff who failed to resume on or before December 4, automatically ceased to be a staff of the institution.
In his reaction to the directive,
Oghenekaro Ogbinaka, Chairman,
University of Lagos branch of ASUU, toldvNAN that the development was strange and laughable.

He said that this was so considering the fact that the union was yet to get back to the government, after their deliberations with President Goodluck Jonathan.
“Our reaction is simple. Let us just wait for the seven days to come around. “What government has just done shows that they were not committed in the offer they made with the union that had the Trade Union Congress President and
the Minister of Labour in attendance.

“We are not going to fall to that
blackmail. Now, which one is better: government acceding to our demands or issuing out threats?
“Honestly, this whole thing ought to have been easily resolved, given the approach taken by President (Goodluck) Jonathan, but it is like we want to be taken for
granted after all and it is unfair,” he said.

Prof. Oyelowo Oyewo, immediate past Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Lagos, simply described the development as “a
glorified joke and laughable’’.
Oyewo noted that it was funny that one of the parties which had before now been holding dialogue would try to intimidate. the other.

“I see this whole thing as a joke and I dare say it is not even worth my comments. We just keep our fingers crossed and watch. I still emphasise that such ultimatum is a display of insensitivity
and a huge joke.”

Also commenting on the government directive, Prof. Sat Obiyan, Head of Department of Political Science, Obafemi
Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, said that the ultimatum was not the best approach to resolving the issue.
He, however, said that the threat might achieve some success because some lecturers would resume for fear of losing
their jobs, but it would not end the crisis in the education sector.

Obiyan said however, that it was
unfortunate that the strike was allowed to linger for so long.

“Nigerians are worried over the situation; the prolonged strike is not good for the education system in the country, but the
Federal Government’s approach now is not the best.

“What is required is little understanding by both parties to agree on something and end the strike without aggravating it.

“It is not a new thing for the Federal. Government to threaten ASUU members with sack; it was done in 1996 by the late Sani Abacha.
“For the university system to work
perfectly, you need all the personnel and not few lecturers on ground to teach,“ He said.

Obiyan urged the Federal Government to have a rethink and implement the agreement reached with the union.
He also urged ASUU to give the
Presidency the benefit of doubt that the agreement would be implemented, given
the President’s intervention which sawbhim leading the government delegation at the last negotiation.

Also, Dr Yinka Ajala, Head, Department of Geography, Obafemi Awolowo University,
Ile-Ife, said that the threat would ignite more problems in the education system.
Ajala said that threatening lecturers with sack should not be a weapon for the Federal Government.
He said that the ASUU executive was being careful with the agreement reached
with the Federal Government before suspending the strike.
“What ASUU is asking for is not too much, they want government to show some commitment with the agreement.
“Government can only force few lecturers to resume but not all, even if the Vice- Chancellors open registers in the institutions.
“The sack threat is a tactic that will not work; it has been used by the military in the past, so it is not new to us.
“I do not think this is the way
government should handle the strike, it will not solve the problem,“ he said.
The Coordinator of Education Right
Campaign (ERC), Hassan Soweto, said that the ultimatum would only worsen the problem, noting that it was against the principle of public bargaining.
“What ASUU wants is some level of
commitment from the Federal
Government before it will suspend the strike.
“It is not right for the government to use force in a democracy,“ he said.
Meanwhile, Agbomeji Ibrahim, a student of Lagos State University, Ojo, urged the Federal Government not to be
authoritative by giving lecturers one week to return to classes or face sack.
Ibrahim, who is a student unionist, said that there was a better approach to resolving the issue, rather than using a
sack threat.
“In comradeship, we do not shift grounds due to threats.
“President Goodluck Jonathan is already on the verge of settling with the union; so, the present decision might slow down
the process of the resolution,” he said.
Ibrahim urged the Federal Government to
be more sensitive in its decision and pleaded that ASUU should also have a rethink as the strike was old enough to be
called off.
‘’The Federal Government must be
careful, logical and realistic in its decision, because of the importance of the sector.
"Both the Government and ASUU need to accommodate each other on the negotiation table because both partiesncannot get all their demands and must be ready to shift grounds, “Ibrahim said.

NAN reports that the President personally led the Federal Government negotiation team at the last meeting between both parties, where some agreements were made and the ASUU was to return to the government– after consulting with its members.

For $50 million I can act n*de – Amanda Ebeye

Despite the obstacles she confronted at the beginning of her career, she never gave up. Today, Amanda Ebeye has become a star of countless movies and soap operas including Clinic Matters
Everyday People, and Super Story.

The Delta State-born model cum actress bared her mind to The Entertainer recently.

Excerpts:

Tell us about you growing up, how was it like?

My growing up was blissful. I had the best mother and a caring father; I went to a
very good school. They tried to give me everything so that I wouldn’t lack. So, we are very comfortable.

That means you were born with a
silver spoon?

Yes, I was much pampered; it was when I got into acting that I started experiencing hard times. I never had to hustle or struggle for anything. When I was growing
up, I had everything I wanted at my beck and call. That’s why my father never wanted me to work. They felt acting was a poor man’s job, but I didn’t understand
the glamour behind television. I didn’t know there was something more challenging and more difficult behind it.
When I got into modeling I found outbthat it wasn’t easy.

What did your mother tell you about s3x?

All she ever said was ‘don’t have sex unless you are married’. To me, s3x is not something special; you can have s3x with anybody. It’s something special that
occurs between two people that are in love. It’s a very special moment and something that always means a lot to them.

Are you in any relationship now?

No. I am waiting for the right guy. How long will that be? Well, I don’t know Because I am not God. I love kids and when its time, it will happen. Though, my
mum says I should get married because I’m getting old. Marriage is really what’s on her mind.

Does that mean you don’t have a
boyfriend?

Yeah, people have asked me that, I don’t have a boyfriend.
How do you handle your male fans?
They are wonderful, they are the ones that keep me going, always very supportive. I love them and I handle them well.

Have you encountered with sugar daddies?

Yes but I made them understand that I cannot date a man old enough to be my father. Sometimes I wonder how they get
my phone number.

Is there anything you cannot do in a movie?

No. I can do everything because I am an actress.

Even if they say you should act n^de?

For $50 million yes, I will do it. That’s why I am an actress, everything you want
me to do I’ll do as long as you pay. For $ 50 million I can act n^de. I respect my culture but people pretend a lot in Africa.
