Thugs invade Rivers State House of Assembly to impeach Speaker (Watch Video)

The video captured an attack led by a member of the Rivers State house of assembly in an attempt to impeach the speaker of the house. The Speaker and 26 other members of the house are loyal to the governor, Rotimi Amaechi, while five others led by Evans Bapakaye Bipi, representing Ogu/Bolo constituency are loyal to President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife Patience. Mr. Bipi here is seen arriving the house with thugs, he later attacked the camerabcrew before breaking into the chambers to attack his colleagues. Watch the shameful video courtesy Sahara TV.

Kanye West GOES NUDE In "Black Skinhead" Music Video

Rapper Kanye West sparked controversy this week by releasing his the visuals for his "Black Skinhead" single showing himself completely naked with the help of CGI effects. The clip was so raunchy that the troubled rapper, who uploaded the clip on his website during the 4th of July Independence day celebration, shortly after deleted it. The rapper seemed to be courting controversy with his new single, Black Skinhead, as it not only includes eyebrow raising lyrics but he also showed off his nether regions to dramatic effect. In the three-and-a-half minute clip, which is created with CGI technology throughout the whole thing, Kanye dances around to the track with his shirt off in computer animated black and white, showing off his muscles which are emphasized with the special effects. But the last minute of the clip is the most controversial as West boasts about his manly parts and takes off his trousers which he wears throughout the rest of the video. As the star moves closer to the camera he appears naked with his genitals looking particularly large as he continued moving around to the lyrics under the CGI technology. At one point he raps: 'This is that goon s**t, F**k up your whole afternoon s**t,' as just some of the foul language that litters the track.

Lauryn Hill Begins Prison Sentence for Tax Evasion

Lauryn Hill checked into prison on Monday to serve her three month sentence for tax evasion. The 38-year-old songstress reportedly booked into the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut at around 11:15 AM Eastern Standard Time, according to TMZ. The facility is said to be ‘minimum security’. Jailed: Fugees frontwoman Lauryn Hill has checked into prison in Connecticut to serve her three month sentence for Tax evasion Prisoners live in ‘barrack-style housing’ and Hill will be part of the general population rather than be housed in isolation. Hill’s trip to prison comes after she was sentenced back in May. During her day in Federal court, Lauren compared her experience in the music business to the slavery her ancestors endured before a judge sentenced her to three months in prison for failing to pay about $1 million in taxes over the past decade. Not isolated: Hill will be amongst the general population in the minimum security prison. ‘I am a child of former slaves who had a system imposed on them,’ Hill said before U.S. Magistrate Madeline Cox Arleo. ‘I had an economic system imposed on me.’ Hill, who started singing with the Fugees as a teenager in the 1990s before releasing her multiplatinum 1998 album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, pleaded guilty last year to failing to pay taxes on more than $1.8 million earned from 2005 to 2007. The sentencing also took into account unpaid state and federal taxes in 2008 and 2009 that brought the total earnings to about $2.3 million. Despite having paid more than $900,000 in the several days during her court appearances, Hill still owed interest and penalties, the U.S. attorney’s office had said.

OJB Thanks Gov. Amechi For His $ 100,000 Donation

Last week, the governor of Rivers state, governor Rotimi Amechi, donated the sum of $100,000 (16million naira) to the ailing music producer, OJB Jezreel who needs the money for a kidney transplant in India. The money was transferred to his account on Friday, 5th of July.
