Another military helicopter crashes near FUT inYola

According to Sahara Reporters, another military helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Airforce crashed in Damare, near the Federal University of Technology in Yola, Adamawa State, around the same spot where the last helicopter crashed on November 14th.
The military is yet to say anything about the crash and no word yet if there are casualties. Details later

Emir of Kano, Sanusi, advises Nigerians to armthemselves against Boko Haram

Former CBN governor and Emir of Kano, Muhammed Sanusi has advised Nigerians who are constantly faced with attacks from Boko Haram members, to arm themselves against further attacks from the sect. According to BBC, the respected ruler said this at a prayer meeting last Friday.
"These terrorists slaughter our boys and abduct our girls to force them into slavery.

Femi Fani-Kayode discharged and acquitted ofmoney laundering

A Federal High court sitting in Lagos this morning discharged& acquitted former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode of 38 out of the 40 amended count charge of money laundering brought against him by the EFCC in 2008.
Delivering her judgement, the presiding judge, Justice Rita Ofili Ajumogobia, said that EFCC had not provided any evidence that proved that the former minister had in anyway laundered money through fictitious business transactions.

66 South African victims of Synagogue collapsedbuilding flown home

The bodies of 66 South African victims of the Synagogue collapsed building were on Saturday handed over to a South African official, to be taken home.
The remains were collected from the Mainland Hospital, Yaba and the Isolo General Hospital, Isolo.
The bodies were seen being loaded into three refrigerated trucks.

Abducted former NBA President freed

The immediate past President of the
Nigerian Bar Association [NBA], Okey Wali, who was abducted by unknown gunmen has regained his freedom, Premium Times reports.

Wali was said to have been released at about 11pm on Thursday, October 23 by his abductors after keeping him for about 12 days.
