5 NANS members die in fatal auto crash on their way to UNIIYO

The Senate President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS)Donald Onukaogu andfour other students were killed in a tragic auto accident along the Umuahia - Ikot Ekpene federal road on their way to the University of Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State to interven in the crisis that rocked the school yesterday. The bus they were traveling in collided with a trailer which was said to have lost control.

I fell because I had this very long dress, and this very high shoe and a slippery ground, and because I wasn't supposed to dance atmy first 'coming out'. I had another outfit I could put onto really perform if I wanted to; it was my choice but I just came on and they played the song and I just had to dance and I slipped.

I made it fun really, I got up and danced, I didn't want to disappoint anybody especially myself. When I went back stage, I was dancing my head off. I couldn't go back on stage because Iyanya was on stage and it was about closing. It was all his time. Nobody went back on stage after him. I wish I went back to dance again and not fall that time.

A scrap private plane belonging to Bethel Ministeries Inc. stirred panic on Thursday morning as the rumour spread that another aircraft had crashed in Lagos.
On hearing the news, hundreds of residents trooped out with their camera phones and queued behind the gate bar of Dapsey Oil filling station at Igando where the plan was packed to take shots.
A senior officer of the filling stationsaid the plane was being removed from the Ikeja Airport to Badagry when one of the tires burst and it had to be packed around 2am.
The police are having tough time controlling the swelling crowd anda young man has been arrested by the Igando police station.

Kanye West denied the famous claim of the Canadian model Leyla Ghobadi who told Star Magazine that Yeezy had sex her. Kanye West's rep told the celebrity website TMZ that 'Ye' did not cheat on Kim Kardashian with Canadian model, Leyla, the woman accusing him of being unfaithful is just out for some easy publicity.

A rep for Kanye told TMZ it'sall lies. "This most recent attack on Kanye West and his family is totally without merit. It's a blatant attempt by a misguided individual who is clearly seeking publicity, and another in a series of malicious stories drummed up by non-credible 'news' sources. Riot at University of Uyo leaves three student dead(pictures)

According to reports, the student of the University of Uyo who engaged in a peaceful protest on the campus over the introduction of a new transport fare of one hundred naira which the school authority enfored on students before using the school bus that used to be free.

The Police came to stop the protest, along the the line the police got aggressive and opened fired threw tear gas canisters on the students which resulted in the death of the four students.

Following the killing of the students, some buildings on the town campus were burnt down last night. These included the office of the Vice Chancellor and that of the Registrar
