"I lost a second child, when Ojo Ladipo (Baba Mero) died. The two of us were at the burial, I woke up,but my baby did not wake up. "I believe what has happened has happened and that God would take care of other things and take care of the rest. It actually shook me to the extent that I almost quit acting," she narrated.

Keturah Hamilton talks about the Reality Show Jim Iyke Unscripted New York, NY April 29, 2013 – Keturah Hamilton, Model, Actress, and Ex-Fiancée of Jim Iykeis ready to tell the real story after the Jim Iyke Unscripted show thatwas aired on April 17, 2013. In a world where reality shows are an “In-thing” and bad behavior becomes the A.M. topic to cover, leave it to Jim Iyke Unscripted or better said the “_Scripted_” show to deliver real life drama. The episode that aired on April 17, 2013, did not disappoint the viewers who were glued to their TV’s watching Keturah Hamilton’s role that was none the less excellent! She was really able to bring her character to the next level of entertainment.

Keturah Hamilton had acted out an edgy script of jealousy and rage towards Jim Iyke, that was delivered as well as any actress in Hollywood. Keturah was so good that even her fans were astonished to see how well she acted and was able to challenge Jim on his bad behavior. Boldly, Jim gave Keturah the opportunity to exit the reality show based on the controversial episode.

Even though a pre-recorded version of “Kiss and Make-up” was on stand-by to be aired, Keturah already had made her decision. For the time being, Jim Iyke and Keturah Hamilton are no longer together because in reality,Jim’s bad boy behavior was just too overwhelming for the reality star. Keturah has decided to moveon to the bigger and better thingsthat her heart has long been looking to do.

She quotes, “I wish Jim well on his show and hope that he matures into the man I always wanted him to be!” Keturah is currently in a new, reality-based show called “Diamonds in the Rough”.

The Nigerian Entertainment Conference held over the weekend at the Grand ball roomof the Eko Hotel and suites, Victoria Island, Lagos was nearlymarred by violent exchange of words between Kennis Music Boss Mr. Kenny Ogungbe and Chairman of Copyright Society ofNigeria COSON, Chief Tony Okoroji. Chief Tony Okoroji had confronted Kenny Ogungbe in the presence of journalists for daring to say in public that COSON owed him (Kenny Ogungbe) money.

“How could he say such a thing? And in public?” Chief Okorogie fumed. Kenny Ogungbe and Chief Okoriji shortly before the exchanges Kenny Ogungbe on hispart remained resilient, insisting he would stand by his words. They exchanged hot, abusive words impossible to publish including the F word as they werepulled apart by concerned friends who feared the brawl may soon go physical. Kenny Ogungbe went on to say “After now, if anything happens to me, it is on your head” The incident happened immediately after the first sessionof the conference where Mr. Kenny Ogungbe had been amongst a panel of discussants along side Cool DJ Jimmy Jat, Sound Sultan, MI and Weird MC during which pertinent industry issues had been raised.

The panel before taking questions from participants discussed “Looking at the music scene through the eyes of talents, labels, investors, consumers, regulatory bodies. The role of an artiste in the digital age and lastly, surviving in a peculiar industry like Nigeria.

However Weird MC in her openinghad raised questions on the “exploitation of our works”. She noted that the music industry is no longer about just entertainment but a business thatshould be accounted for. She claimed that music properties of artistes were being exploited with no form of payments made as settlements.

Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) is Nigeria’s sole government approved collective management organization for musical works and sound recordings. Weird MC specifically asked the society if they had any kind of international affiliations with international music copyright regulatory bodies to help check the exploitation of works put out by Nigerian artistes. According to her “We need to address the International Affiliations involved cause this is abusiness.

Kenny Ogungbe had stepped out after the panel to re-emphasis these statements made by Weird MC to reporters before making the comments that infuriated Chief Okoroji. After the heated argument, both were too angry to speak further on the testy issue.

Obama Says, "I've got 99 problems and Jay Z is one of them"

The annual White House Correspondent’s Dinner is typically a light-hearted affair, and this year’s installment was no exception. The Dinner tends to serve as an opportunity for the President to show off his sense of humor and pop culture savvy, and with a President as charismatic as Barack Obama, these events tend to be ripe withentertaining moments.

While Obama obviously poked fun at himself and at those right wing media outlets who consistently have derided him throughout his two terms in office, he made sure to offer up enough hip-hop references to have the community talking for quite some time. Prior to the President stepping to the podium, the crowd in attendance was treatedto DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win.” Obama clearly enjoyed the moment, even synchronizing his hand gestures to match the chorus.

“How do you like my new entrance music?” Obama jokingly asked the audience, waiting for those assembled to sit back down before going right into therest of the speech. Later on, Obama had the chance to take a slick jab at Jay-Z, who caused a media frenzy with his visit to Cuba and subsequent “Open Letter.” Talking about issues that he has to deal with that are out of his control, Obama said, “It’s unbelievable… I have 99 problems and now Jay-Z is one of them.”

Interestingly enough, the President does not appear to be as concerned about Beyonce, who also went on the trip with her husband and created her own controversy at the recent inauguration by apparently lip-synching the National Anthem.

B-Red got himself a new deal with another company after bothcousins decided on leaving the label. Sina Rambo, though denied the reports in a separate interview with another media house, but according to a recent interview with , here's what Davido had to say about the whole issue when HipHopWorld asked him about it.

"B-Red & Sina Rambo, people knew they were with me for about two years. But earlier this year, I felt like it’s time for them to start their own stuff. I’m sure they were even tired of being in the shadow of me and all that.

B-Red, I think has a management deal elsewhere with another company, I’m not sure exactly, but they shot his video for him and everything. And Sina is in America working on some new material. I really want them to stand on their ownbecause they’re talented and need to be heard, instead of them being behind me all the time. We still family”.

Empress Njamah Reveals Why She Is Not Yet Married

Empress Njamah Reveals Why She Is Not Yet Married

Empress Njamah said this in a recent interview with The Nation.

*. As one who is brilliant, beautiful and curvy, why are you still single?

I’m gonna say this alright; I don’t care how people take it, the days when marriages were sweet and all beautiful are no more. If you listen to how your parents got married and how those days it was sweet, it’s not like that anymore. I’ve escorted a lot of people into marriages, I won’t say I’ve escorted them out but I’ve witnessed them come out of it. So psychologically it’s not good for people and then being what we are, a lot of people think because she’s this, because she has that I don’t think I will be able to handle them. A lot of people can’t stand an industriouswoman especially if she’s doing well. It’s the mentality of the people. If a man looks at me, I’m a car freak alright. I have five carsand I’m not doing it because I’m trying to show off, a lot of peopletdon’t even know that they are myctars. But I’m trying to be honest with you and I’m always trying to say it the way it is, not minding whatever. If a man comes and says because of blablabla, he cannot handle me, then he shouldn’t bother. Every woman’s dream is to get married but it’s not just to get married but to getmarried to your friend. I want to marry my friend.

*. And have you met your friend?

I’m yet to meet my friend. If I meet my friend and I know that he is my friend, I don’t think that question should actually pop up because what am I doing if I’ve met my friend? If I’ve met my friend I will get married. And then, I’m this type of person that even if I meet my friend; I don’t want to have a fairy tale wedding

‘Why I left my husband in Switzerland’ - Actress Jennifer Eliogu

‘Why I left my husband in Switzerland’ - Actress Jennifer Eliogu

Jennifer Eliogu She is one of the pioneers of Nollywood, and has featured in hundreds of movies, always playing the role of a motivator-in-chief and crusader for moral values. In the early days of the industry, her face was ubiquitous– almost every movie director desired to have her as part of hiscast and she became a darling of millions of Nollywood lovers.

At the height of her popularity, when she could easily have been the most consequential Nollywood actress, cupid struck, and she gave up her flourishing acting career for love, relocating to Switzerland to join a man she had fortuitously met while answering a phone call at her friend’s home. Many were stunned, but that’s what love does for people. A few years after joining her husband in Europe, and feeling home sick, and the challenges of transitioning into a meaningful assignment in a foreign country where English is not the first language becoming daunting and desiring a job “she had a passion for” she returned to Nigeria, and to her first love – acting.

Since her return to Nigeria, actress Jennifer Eliogu has shunned acting, instead choosing to produce and direct. Last month, she was one of the top Nollywood actresses and actors who was honored at an award ceremony in North Carolina, and during a trip to New York to sign a marketing deal with Executive Image for thedistribution of her new movie “From Within” Jennifer and I sat down for what turned out to be a mind-blowing reflection on Nollywood and what needs to bedone to steer the industry back on the family-friendly track it wasonce known for.

Asked why she decided to become a director instead of continuing as an actress, she muttered, “I couldn’t return to acting under the prevailing circumstance. The industry I met when I came back was not the same industry I knew before I went to Switzerland. We had an industry where scripts had redeeming moral perspectives, where the craft was taken very seriously, and you had to impressthe directors that you could hold your own among the best.

“We had story lines that were family friendly, where nudity or sexually explicit scenes and language were not tolerated. But alas! – the industry I met when I came back was one where young starlets are given roles, based on glamour, on beauty and where the main motivation is not to add value, but to use their celebrity to advance other interests. Most of these starlets lack talents but would parade their looks at auditions while wearing very skimpy dresses thatleave nothing to the imagination.’

When you dress in such a provocative manner, you are essentially tempting the director – you are advertising your sexual attributes over your talents and you are exposing yourself to other things.”

Eliogu who recently veered into music said “ she decided to produce and direct her movie, one that families could sit at the dinner table and watch. Jennifer Eliogu is one of the growing numbers of Nollywood stars who are engaged in inter-continental marriages. “As I told you – my husband is based in Switzerland, and after some years there, we reached the painful but practical decision thatI should move back to Nigeria to continue my career in acting. I donot have problems with an inter-continental marriage, but in my own case, I did not want to be a full time house wife.

“My husband is very comfortable with my decision, and it has not affected our marriage in any way. Yes, as with most marriages, we have had our fair share of challenges, but overall, my husband is the best man I could ever aspire to have and seven years after we got married, the flame of passion remains the same.”

On the rumour that her marriagehas crashed, she looked bewildered and replied,“It is not true. We are still married, but I have already told you we have challenges and we are working around those challenges.”

“Consequently, the board has concluded all arrangements for the smooth conduct of the 2013 UTME using the three testing modes. “Also 196 inmates who applied from Lagos and Kaduna respectively are also sitting for this Saturday UTME, while 145visually impaired candidates will sit for thesame exam as provisionshave been made for bailey questions and answers.”

Prof Ojerinde said the board had provided questions and answers in braille for the visually impaired with an extra time of 15 for each an hour paper He advised visually impaired candidates to report at their respective centres on the day of the examination, as adequate arrangements had been made to take care of them at the examination centres.

Some of the visually impaired candidates whohad applied for the DBT and CBT have been reverted to PPT as there is no provision for visually impaired candidates to write CBT and DBT. We Don’t Punish Our kids– Will Smith
The Men in Black star and his 14-year-old son Jaden Smith sat down for an interview with Metro, where the duo discussed working together, their upcoming projects (including their latest film together After Earth) and everyday life in the Smith household.

Which, according to Will, doesn’t involve much disciplinary action. “We (Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith) don’t do punishment,” the celeb said in response to when he punished Jaden last.
“The way that we deal with our kids is, they are responsible for their lives. Our concept is, as young as possible, give them as much control over their lives as possible and the concept of punishment, our experience has been—it has a little too much of a negative quality.

“So when they do things—and you know, Jaden, he’s done things —you can do anything youwant as long as you can explain to me why that was the right thing to do for your life.” Jaden’s a fan of his parents’ technique and said “it works pretty well,” noting that, “Other teenagers go to parties and sometimes I be like, ‘Why am I here right now?’ And most of thetime, I just leave right then and there. Some things I don’t like to do, that other teenagers do. Everyone thinks that since you make movies, you go to parties, and I like to party, but not normal teenage parties.”

Homophobic 'Death To Gays' Hashtag Trending In France

As lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) advocates across France celebrated the country's decision to legalize gay marriage Tuesday, a homophobic backlash found an outlet on social media platforms.

Beginning in the evening, the hashtags #MortAuxGay ("death to gays") and#ilfauttuerleshomosexuels ("we must kill all gays") began showing up on Twitter.

According to a Twitter Trending Topics page, #MortAuxGay was a trending term in France on Tuesday. AmericaBlog also took ascreenshot of Twitter's trending terms list.As the term gained notoriety, many French users took to Twitter to criticize their homophobic countrymen, but initially, the hashtag was used to convey anti-gay sentiment

("For the benefit of our society") ("The shame of man") and ("I say no to gay marriage")

The debate over gay marriage has rocked France over the past few months, with massive -- and sometimes violent -- protests occurring in the streets.

Indeed, Tuesday night riot police battled with anti-gay protesters who attacked photographers and journalists, according to The Independent. There have also been reports of anti-same sex marriage protesters using human shields and using the fascist salute in clashes with police.

The Advocate notes that the country has seen an increase in anti-gay attacks throughout the past few weeks.

In October, French Twitter users used the hashtag #UnBonJuif, which translates to"#AGoodJew," to disseminate a variety of anti-Semitic tweets. TheUnion of French Jewish Students (UEJF) is currently suing Twitter for $50 million in damages relating to the tweets.

Recently, the story went viral that Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah was getting set to wed her Nigerian actor/model boo Bobby Obodo.

To set records straight, her campreleased this press statement:

I find it necessary to comment onrecent scurrilous, slanderous andpreposterous social media reports on Jackie Appiah's alleged 'marriage' to Bobby Obodo.
First of all, let me state here that Jackie Appiah is absolutely not getting married to Bobby Obodo and the two of them are just good friends.
I am appalled that the so-called reputable sites printing these vicious lies do not deem it fit to practice the simplest ethics of journalism like being accurate in their report and seeking reliable sources. Which of you confirmed from Jackie's management before going ahead to print? Jackie Appiah owes it to her fans and members of the public who have always supported her career, to set the record straight on issues like these, so without further ado, I wish to urge everyone to please disregard thismisrepresentation of Jackie.

Etisalat man ‘Saka’ moves to MTN in N20m Deal

Etisalat man ‘Saka’ moves to MTN in N20m Deal

If you watch TV regularly, you must have come across Nigerian actor Hafiz Oyetoro popularly called Saka.

The actor who easily switches from English to Yoruba movies, drama series and sitcoms is also popularly known for his roles in advertor campaigns from telecommunications company Etisalat.

But Saka seems to have changed camps and pitched his tent with rival company, telecoms giant MTN. A new MTN ad campaign tells us so. MTN has kicked off their television commercial for the recently activated Number Portability Scheme with Saka gladly announcing he has ‘upgraded’ to MTN.

The ad starts with Saka dressed in green traditional attire only to transform into a bright yellow attire as he leads a music band.

‘ I don port o, I don port go MTN. I don upgrade to MTN ‘, Saka sings and dances. Advertising doesn’t get more brutal than this, picture a popularface of a big brand, announcing to millions of consumers that he’s switching camps and advising them to do so too!
Some are of the opinion that MTN made the desperate move, making Saka jump ship because the recently launched ‘number portability scheme’ might not favour them. MTN has often received a lot of black lash from consumers on Social media who have promised to leave the network once the scheme is launched. As we speak a bloggers forum is contemplating on creating a ‘migrate away from MTN’ campaign.

Saka, sources say, got paid a mouth watering N20m. Who would resist the offer? Many questions however trail the move; didn’t Saka have an exclusive contract with Etisalat orwas he being paid per campaign? While Etisalat cannot but face a minor setback before of course launching their own campaign (maybe hire MTN ambassadors Osuofia and Mama G?), MTN will relish the moment. Saka howevercomes out as the biggest winner walking home with millions of cash and the hype…
