Jonathan Not A Weak President — Allison-Madueke

External factors and local
impediments tried to scuttle
President Goodluck Jonathan's
ambition of repositioning the country in the first two years of his
administration, a book edited by the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Allison-Madueke has stated.

In the book titled, "Goodluck Ebere Jonathan: Champion of Women," the minister also said Jonathan was neither a weak nor indecisive president.

It said the psyche of Nigerians who held that view had been affected by long years of military rule that made them believe that leaders must be aggressive.

It added that with his consuming passion for the progress of the country, there was no doubt that the President was leading Nigeria to a good place.

The book was presented Wednesday at a mid-term presidential dinner held as part of activities marking the second anniversary of Jonathan's administration.

Although the book did not identify the "external factors" that compounded the administration's woes, it listed the activities of members of the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, in the North and kidnappers in the South as some of the local impediments.

It added that it was impossible for the Federal Government to separate the external factors from local impediments.
According to the book, technological
advancements including the use of
mobile phones contributed to the
problems.
It stated that the first two years of
Jonathan in the saddle of affairs were full of threatening challenges capable of making the President lose focus.

The book said however, the challenges made the President more inspired to steer the ship of the nation to a safe haven.

The book read, "The first two years of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan administration were met with tough, even threatening challenges.

"The Boko Haram insurgence in the
North and the spate of callous
kidnappings in the South could quite easily have shifted all focus away from the President's clearly outlined transformation agenda.

"Ironically, however, the President
seems even more inspired to steer the ship of the state to a safe point where the dignity of every Nigerian is preserved; a point where our right to contribute to productive decision-making is assured, where our balance of payment is no longer in deficit, where we do not consume more than we produce, where every Nigerian can boast a healthy standard of living, where our women take centre stage in the whole process of social and economic transformation.

"While the local impediments to the
President's ambitions are unrelenting, external factors have compounded the matter further, making it impossible to separate one from the other.

"We now live in a world where a click of your mobile phone takes you to the global marketplace. This may seem adventurous and exciting to some, but the impact on the local market is incalculable."

While reeling out some of the
achievements of the administration in two years, the book stated that Jonathan was determined to fulfil all his electoral promises in the lifespan of his administration.

It described the President as an
honourable man who had always been reluctant to say in public what he did not plan to put into practice.
According to the book, Jonathan is
already on course to deliver in excess of his commitments across all sectors of the economy.

R-E-V-E-A-L-E-D: ‘how Oyedepo, onaiyekan, Others Tried To Save yar’adua’

Family warned to evacuate ex-president 3 weeks before death – PFN scribe The late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua may not have died had the family heeded
the advice to evacuate him from Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja three weeks before he died.

National Secretary of Pentecostal
Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Pastor
Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, one of the four pastors who visited the Villa to pray for Yar’Adua at the height of his sickness in 2010, disclosed this at the weekend.

The three other pastors were Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith World Outreach, aka Winners Chapel; Cardinal John Onaiyekan, the Catholic Bishop ofAbuja; and erstwhile Aso Rock Chaplain,
Prof. Yusuf Obaje. The pastors visited the seat of power for the prayer session after Yar’Adua was flown back from Saudi Arabia where he had been taken for treatment for an undisclosed illness.

Late President Yar’Adua. The PFN National Secretary said he told the Yar’Adua family at the meeting that there was the need to take the president out of Aso Rock within three weeks to keep him alive.

According to him, however, they shunned the advice as they were afraid that President Goodluck Jonathan, then vice president , would take over (power) if they took him out of the Villa immediately.
“Of course, I was not obeyed and exactlythree weeks after that visit, he died”, Kure, based in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, bbut spoke to Sunday Vanguard in Lagos, last week, said.

Narrating what transpired at the prayer session for Yar’Adua, which he claimed lasted about 10 minutes, “sharp and straight to the point”, the PFN leader said: “When we went in there, they pulled me aside and said the reason you are here sir, go beyond that, can God show mercy? Can God change these things? It’s like deep inside of them, they felt he (Yar’Adua) might not survive And they had the right to ask God for mercy. That was why they called in the Muslims and the Christians”.

He continued: “So I knew my own
mission but I sensed things do not
happen like that and I told them what would make him escape death. I told them privately. That is, me and them, it had nothing to do with the four (he and the other pastors). My reason for being called was slightly different from the other three. I think Oyedepo was called because of the miracles (he was performing) in the Living Faith Church.

We were called in because they believed we have access to God and that we could pray some effective prayers that would help the matter.

‘Not politically convenient’
“I told them the Lord said that within three weeks they should take him out of the Villa to somewhere he’d be without pressure. That was the time the polity was heating up.

I told them to take him away from there (Aso Rock) because while there within those three weeks, even if as much as one mosquito bite him, he would die. I told them I saw only three weeks. So if they had taken him out within those three weeks, maybe God would have shown mercy and given him some rest and added some time to his life. “I don’t know how much, I’m not God.

I’m just an oracle who spoke for that season. And the understanding I go later, I was told they couldn’t take him out because it was not politically convenient.

They were afraid that Jonathan would take over if they took him out immediately. He kept him there to ensure that Jonathan did not take over even when it was to the detriment of his health. Maybe it was a tactical move; the wife had no say in the matter”.

Captivity Exonerating the former president’s wife, Turai, from blame over the failure to move Yar’Adua from Aso Rock as advised, Kure said, “Nigerian politicians are very complicated and sophisticated people when they know their interests are at stake; they will use you to remain relevant. They will keep you there until they get what they want. I think she was also in captivity.
“Of course she would wanted her
husband to live; she would have wanted to remain the first lady naturally. Let’s not pretend about these things.
Constitutionally it was not her call; it was the politicians’ call which was what the people in the National Assembly and Nigerians were making that, `let the constitution have its way’. It was a constitutional call, it was not her

Blogger Linda Ikeji Accused Of N50,000 Fraud (see Photos & Proof)

This is his statement release:

As a Social Media Marketer, I come across several clients who need to get Nigerian blogs, and news sites to review their products and services, which I never hesitate to direct them to eiher Nairaland or Bella Naija as the most effective websites for getting the highest click - through rates, and most honest comments.

Some clients prefer to get on gossip sites like Naij.com or Linda Ikeji Blog despite my reservations and reasons. Naij has recently made themselves popular for using Russian hackers to redirect Etisalat subscribers to their homepage at some point, and Linda Ikeji is known amongst bloggers for her horde of hired hands, using multiple identities, and devices to post dozens of comments and spark irrelevant arguments, not forgetting her vicious fabrications euphemised as idle gossip.

A Port Harcourt based artiste, M-Kaze, recently consulted with Bar Baric Entertainment for promotional services, for which among several bloggers and micro-bloggers, his label chose Linda Ikeji.

All the bloggers sent invoices and we're pre-paid. By 9:41am on the next day, Tuesday, 18th June, 2013, Linda Ikeji was paid N50,000 (FiftyThousand Naira) in
line with her quotation, which indicated that the AD would be posted in 48 hours

Aside from the fact that Linda Ikeji Blog could not accept a brief from which they were supposed to write their own unique story, but requested a full pre-written press release, things really started getting awry when by Thursday evening, the client called to complain that their AD had not been posted.

All avenues were employed in getting in touch with Linda Ikeji, and her staff, yet to no avail. Eventually, she was sighted on Twitter tweeting links from her blog, and a tweet was sent to her demanding the AD be set up immediately. Instantly, we received a call promising that the press release on M-Kaze would be posted “first thing tomorrow morning” (Friday).

On Saturday, at noon, another call was placed to the Linda Ikeji team, after the advertorial had not showed up the entire morning. They claimed they were having difficulties posting the link to M-Kaze video. Knowing quite well that the same link had been posted by more than 15 other blogs, yet eager to avoid debates which would further delay the promotion, the root URL to the video was provided within the hour. Still, same link was still being requested over, and over again, via various channels, till 5pm on Sunday. At that point, we had to specifically request that the AD was not posted on a Sunday, since Sundays had the least Internet activity. They agreed, claiming we’d see our dvert on Monday.

All this while, I was dealing with tens ofbcalls of lamentations, and threats of contract termination from my clients, most of the calls I made to the Linda Ikeji contact number were either cut off, or unanswered. When eventually, I would contact them via text or Twitter with a strongly worded message, they’d give me a very brief call, claiming they’ve been driving, and making more promises for “first thing tomorrow morning” again. I began to visualize Linda Ikeji and her staff akin to Dangote truck drivers.
By Monday night, everyone had become fed up with the routine of the Linda Ikeji “first thing tomorrow” antic.

The AMA Sound CEO who had never called me directly, did so at this time, requesting that the article be withdrawn and our payment be refunded. A text message was sent again to Linda Ikeji after which her which a call was put through to us for consolation, but after hearing that we were inconsolable, they agreed to make the refund, again, “first thing tomorrow morning”. They even sent us a text message urging us to collect the money physically, like though we could just walk into our computer, unto Linda Ikeji blogspot.

Even though there was no refund made to our account first thing in the morning of Tuesday 25th, 2013, as usual, the surprise however, was that no payment was made at all, even by 4pm. This time and around, a call to Linda Ikeji was not taken lightly, as the receiver of the call made it clear she was not the person, Linda Ikeji, but the Business Manager of the blog, and that she had better things to do than repaying our monkey. Going ahead to use several expletives in referring to us.

Wednesday, still no refund, yet an
additional feature now was a claim that our N50,000 had been refunded.

On Thursday, 27th June, I had made clear that this incidence of Advance Fee Fraud would be first reported to GTBank, then the EFCC, and finally, the Police. Several threats and insults were hurled from the Linda Ikeji camp.

Linda Ikeji herself who had come in direct contact with the client, AMA Sound, and made a claim that no money was ever paid into her account regarding their promo. Instantly, she effected the transfer (5:04pm, Thursday, 27th June, 2013 ).

The purpose of publishing this incidence is primarily to make a call to all upcoming artistes and entrepreneurs who have fallen for this Linda Ikeji Promo Fraud to come forward. Obviously, threats have been made to them but with the necessary courage, they will be
recompensed. Secondly, I want to make it absolutely clear to everyone who may be mutual acquaintances to myself and the culprit, that for making me lose such a valuable client, I’m suing herself, and her entire establishment for breach of contract, and seeking punitive damaged against Linda Ikeji, and the Linda Ikeji
Blog.

Police Fired Stun Grenades at Anti- Obama Demonstrators in South Africa

Police on Saturday fired stun
grenades and rubber bullets at
hundreds of people protesting in
Soweto against US President Barack
Obama's visit to South Africa.

Protestors burned US flags and portraits of Obama, chanting:
"Arrest Obama, not us" and "Whose country is this?"
Several bangs were heard as the police tried to move the demonstrators away from a campus of the University of Johannesburg where Obama later addressed a town hall event.
The demonstrstors over-stayed the time allocated for the rally.

Police spokeswoman Sally de Beer told AFP that "Police asked them to disperse, but they did not," "So police used stun grenades and two rounds of reduced rubber (rubber bullets)."

A witness said at least two people
suffered rubber bullet wounds, however the police denied the claim. None of the protestors was arrested.

Police had to hold back some people as Obama's convoy drove into the campus.

Members of the South African
Communist Party and anti-Israel groups held up posters depicting Obama with a moustache like that of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.

"The message is clear. We want him to honour the promises he made when he became president, including things like the closing of Grant anamorphic Bay," 30-year-old protester Firoz Osman told AFP.

The university hosted a meeting between Obama and young leaders from all over the continent, as part of his message that it is time for a new generation to lead Africa into a new era of democracy and prosperity.

Soweto is a sprawling township where riots sparked a nationwide struggle against the former racist apartheid regime.

Famous Nigerian Singer Reveals How She Lost Her Virginity

Famous Nigerian singer, Dona Diva, a native of Delta state was recently
interviewed by The Entertainer.

She had a lot to say and she also opened up on some private stuffs.

Excerpts

Who is Dona Diva?

My real name is Dona Adjah and my stage name is Dona Diva. I'm from the Urhobo speaking part of Delta State. I am into music and fashion.

How would you describe your
experience as a singer?

It's a bitter-sweet experience but I have chosen the sweet part of it. In
everything you do, there are bound to be ups and downs. I combine fashion and music together and it's quite exciting because I appear on stage with my own hand made costumes and people are like, 'nice dress' even before I start performing. It's not really been easy but I'm having fun.

Tell us about the single you have on air?

The single I initially dropped was Shut Up. I did it because of people who tried to run me down. I am saying Shut Up to these negative people because I know you can achieve anything as long as you believe in your dreams, in yourself and in God. The new single is New Gaga; I am dropping its video any time soon. It's all about music and dance. The message is, just enjoy the music, feel the rhythm and let go off your sorrows.

Could we say you're not married
because you're distracted by the
loads of rich guys hanging around
you? Do you believe in love?

Love does exist. I don't know whether it is true love but it does exist. But the fact that I mingle with rich boys doesn't mean I wouldn't know who to choose when the time comes. I can't replace love with material things or riches.

Isn't your boyfriend scared you might dump him for a richer guy?

I don't know how he feels but he
supports my career.

Isn't he sometimes worried?

Yes, sometimes I see it in him but he supports me.

Have you ever had a crush on any of your fans before?

Yes, I was having this crush on a guy (laughs) but I found out he's married so I had to let go.

What was it like the first time you had sex?

You say wetin? (laughter) It was a lot of crying because it was painful. The same thing I think for every girl.

How was it like performing for
Obasanjo and Jonathan?

I performed with Sugar Band at
Obasanjo's birthday and I was excited. I also performed for President Jonathan. I saw him smiling as he watched me. I felt so special that my president appreciated what I am doing; it was a great experience for me.

Tonto Risks 15-yr In Jail For Weed Photos, NDLEA To Investigate

Tonto Dike risks 15-
year jail term as NDLEA promises
investigation Controversial actress and aspiring musician, Tonto Dike may have gotten herself into trouble for posting photos of hemps on the social media, as she may be forced to answer some questions regarding the unlawful act.
This is as the National Drug Law
Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, on
Friday said it would investigate the
act.

Dikeh had on Thursday threw
caption to the wind, posting a
photograph of a wrapped weed and
another which showed ‘Happy
birthday POKO’ also formed with
weed. She also added an
inscription, “Mi smoke ganja, mi
smoke weed, while my hatez
smoke ma gossip.”
But NDLEA spokesman, Mitchell
Ofoyeju, speaking with the PUNCH,
said the matter had been referred
to the appropriate Department of
the Agency and would be probed.

“Our attention has been drawn to
the post quite frankly and I can tell
you that action will be taken on it.
The law is clear and NDLEA has
been very clear on the issue. No
one is permitted to sell, use,
cultivate or encourage the use of
Indian hemp in Nigeria. The weed
is one of the banned narcotics in
the country, Ofoyeju said.

“NDLEA Act Section 14 (b) states
that any person who conspires
with, aids, abets, counsels,
attempts to commit or is an
accessory to any act or offence
referred to in this act shall be guilty
of an offence under this act and
liable on conviction to be
sentenced to imprisonment for a
term not less than 15 years and
not exceeding 25 years.

“Investigation has not started as of
now, but definitely, a step has to
be taken on the matter. Ignorance
of the law is not an excuse; so, it is
obvious that the actress stands the
risk of 15 years jail term.
The appropriate Department is meeting on the issue for necessary action.”
The controversial diva, who shot to
fame through her roles in
Nollywood, is known for her
several indecent acts, as well as
love for drugs and alcohol.
The Future Awards in 2012 named

Unmarried Couples that Has Sex Are Legally Married – Indian Court Rules

Indian court rules that any couple who made love are legally married… and would need to divorce if they want to sleep with someone else.

If an unmarried couple made love they are considered husband and wife – and would have to ‘divorce’ if they split, an Indian court has ruled.

When two people of legal age, 18 for a woman and 21 for a man, ‘indulge in sexual gratification’ this should be seen as a ‘an act of total commitment’ and marriage by law, a judge at Madras High Court said.

The court said that the registering of a marriage as well as a wedding ceremony were only formalities to gain society's approval. It also said that once two people made love this ‘becomes a total commitment with adherence to all consequences that may follow’; including needing a decree of divorce should they want to sleep with someone else.
In addition, should either of the two wish to register the ‘marriage’ they can have their marital status declared by a Family Court as long as they can supply proof of a sexual relationship.

Once declared by the court, the person can be established as the other’s spouse – whether the other party approves or not.

‘Legal rights applicable to normal wedded couples will also be applicable to couples who have had sexual relationships which are established,’ the court declared in their ruling obtained by The Hindu.

The verdict came in a spousal
maintenance case where a lower court had ruled that a woman was not entitled to maintenance from the father of her two children as there was no proof of their marriage.

Justice C.S. Karnan ruled that legal
documents proving the couple’s life as spouses were more important than proof of marriage.
In this case the man had signed the ‘live birth report’ for the couple’s second child and thereby officially declaring the woman as his wife.
Judge Karnan said the couple ‘led their marital life under the same shelter and begot two children.

‘Therefore, the petitioner’s rank has been elevated as the “wife” of the respondent and likewise, the respondent’s rank has been elevated as the “husband” of the petitioner.

The man was ordered to pay the woman 500 rupees a month in maintenance as well as maintenance for their two
children.

Nigerian law is against our fundamental rights – Gays

Culled from vanguard

The number of homosexuals in Nigeria seems to be on the rise, which explains why the National Assembly recently passed a bill prohibiting the act and sentencing defaulters to a 14-year jail term.
Little wonder some Nigerians took to the streets protesting what they termed
“Anti-gay practice” and infringement of their fundamental human rights. Amongst them was 22-year old Ahmed, who dubbed members of the Senate “species who spend their precious time on irrelevant issues” in his tweet.
Ahmed says he had his first homosexual experience when he was 15 years old: “I discovered that I am more attracted to the same sex individual than the female folk. So, any government that would not allow me to exercise my fundamental rights is not a responsible government.”

At present, some homosexuals converge on a secret gay club in Lagos. A recent investigation by a BBC reporter revealed that some of the men always dress like females. They wear wigs and take a quick glance at their pocket mirrors, before adjusting their tight-fitting red dresses.

In 2006, one Reverend Rowland Macaulay set up House of Rainbow, a homosexual church, at No 36/38 Yakoyo street, Ojodu Berger, Lagos. His members were only men who worshiped as brethren and lovers.
I would be recalled that in 2008,
Saturday Vanguard reported that he was initiating new members into the gay club and at same time running the church secretly in Nigeria. He was also reported to have appeared sometime ago on Cable News Network, CNN, where he proudly talked about his gay church.

The initial reaction which greeted his exposure created doubts in the minds of Nigerians over the existence of such a church on their shores. But an uproar in the Anglican communion in Europe on gay bishops once again brought the case of Reverend Rowland to the fore.
However, when the Saturday Vanguard visited his residence at plot 145, flat 1, Jakande estate, Isolo, Lagos, his apartment was under lock and key.

It was learnt that the gay pastor vacated his home when he read the story of his clandestine activities in a national newspaper. He is currently running his church in London and some other African countries including Kenya, South African, Uganda, among others.
Kunle (not real name), a gay man living in Lagos, is outraged by the proposed law:
“How does a government think that
sending someone to prison would changenhis or her intimate orientation?
One of Nigeria’s few openly gay human rights activists, Rashidi Williams, notes that the bill seeks to ban something which is already illegal and which no one is publicly advocating. For him, repealing the repressive laws in this country will go a long way.”

Meanwhile, the recent Anti-Gay law
might constrain some gay Nigerians to seek asylum in countries where the practice is accepted, while others will have to go underground. At the gay club, for instance, no one is allowed to take any photos despite the free atmosphere.
The fear of being identified as gay,
lesbian, bisexual or transgender in a country where the public still turns to mob justice haunts some here.

And that is a huge concern for Richard (not his real name): “If you don’t become discreet and try to hide yourself, even the man on the street will want to also act on the bill because it has been passed.
“If you’re walking on the street and he stones you, he knows the law would stand for him because the law is against you.”

Recent investigations revealed that
Nigerian LGBT’s in Diaspora held a rally outside Nigerian Embassy in London, UK to mark the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia. The rally was on the theme: “We Are Family - Freedom to Love for all Nigerians”.

Speakers shared personal stories and experiences of Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia and a letter was delivered to officials of the Nigerian High Commission.

A former student activist of the OAU, Ile - Ife, Yemisi Ilesanmi, led the protest. She said a position paper on the Anti-Same Sex Marriage bill currently pending before the Nigerian legislature had already been sent to the Nigerian Legislative organ and the Executive.

However, those who spoke against the practice are of the opinion that the homosexuality is not part of Nigerian culture and that it is a sin against God. A lawyer, Ebun Adegboruwa, explained that,
“Every law must reflect the cultural dimensions of the society that constitutes the primary constituency of the said law.

There is no culture or tribe in Nigeria presently, that endorses same sex marriage. It still remains a cultural taboo in all climes in this country.

“Similarly, virtually all religions in Nigeria prohibit same sex marriage. So in promulgating the anti gay law, the National Assembly is only reflecting the cultural pattern of Nigeria and indeed our spiritual inclinations. It is thus a welcome idea, to prohibit same sex marriage, in Nigeria.

“Furthermore, in Nigeria presently, both the criminal law and indeed the Marriage Act, prohibit same sex marriage. Thus, the law being promulgated by the National Assembly is not the first legislation on same sex prohibition. It has been part of our existence as a nation, to abhor un-natural affections between man and man and woman and woman.

“But those who are protesting are equally exercising their rights to freedom of expression under section 39 of the 1999 Constitution. However, since both chambers of the National Assembly have now passed the Bill, the option open to the protesters is to take their grievance to court, as expected in any democratic environment, governed by the rule of law. I therefore urge the President to assent to the Bill, without further delay, as it is a reflection of the wish of thebpeople of Nigeria.”

But Dr Abiola Akiyode opposed that the bill. She said, “I believe the entire law on same sex violates the rights of the individual to decide freely on his or her private life, and also the right to make a choice about one’s life and what you want to do with it to be fulfilled as a human being.

“The government is a busy body in this instance; after all, they left more important issues worthy of legislation like violence against women legislation and other critical matters affecting Nigeria.
Rather, they are poke-nosing in people’s private matters. A review of the law shows that it is largely defective and poses dangers to all whether you are straight or not.”

For Joei Odumakin, “Application of the Bill as passed by the National Assembly is that its contents are at variance which certain laws that are already enshrined in the constitution of Nigeria. This is a key issue that is expected to be considered in order to avoid a situation whereby our laws may be running on parallel lines under a single system.

“They are such clauses in the Bill which are likely to become instruments in the hands of the state to victimize certain individuals or groups in the long run if critically analyzed.

Make A Call While Driving And Be Jailed - FRSC Warns

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has announced a newly adopted strategy that would ensure that any person caught using the mobile phone while driving, would no longer be fined but immediately taken to court and jailed.

Corp Marshal, FRSC, Mr. Osita Chidoka said other offences like speed driving, dangerous overtaking and overloading would equally attract court action instead of the usual fines.

The FRSC boss, who was speaking at a news conference in Abuja, said these new measures are part of a newly launched campaign to reduce the increased spate of road crashes in the country..

Commercial bus drivers are now expected to install speed limit devices in their vehicles so they henceforth should not exceed 100km per hour.

National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) however admitted that some drivers are guilty of the aforementioned road accident causing crimes.

The FRSC says it is partnering with several organizations including oil companies to fulfill its promise to make Nigerian roads one of the safest in the world by the year
2020.

Brymo Blasts Chocolate City

In a recent interview, former member of the Chocolate City crew opened up about his reasons for leaving the label and what his plans are.

Excerpts.

On why he left the label.

My debut album was not released
properly. Songs were leaked even after they promised that they were safe. And then there was my single, which was poorly released. I think I deserve an explanation why the release was messed up. That already is a breach. You took my song, edited it and released it behind my back; very unfair. It's something I don't want to talk about but there's news everywhere that I am smoking weed and people are saying I don't get shows because of that.

On weed-smoking.

Yes, but for God's sake, I have not done anything to mess up the contract. What else do you think anybody would say just to make me look bad? It's like giving a dog a bad name so you can hang it. They needed to come up with something. Like I said before, a lot of artistes are doing songs about weed and I have not even done a song on weed before.

On how Choc Boys affected his
project.

We were supposed to record a Choc Boy album in 2012, which I could not agree to because I had my own album in the works. But it's even worse than that because nobody ever called me up.
Whenever they had Choc Boy meetings I was never there. I heard stuff from my other mates on the record label and I am like 'when did you have that meeting?'
So, it's easy now for them to come out and say I am still a Choc Boy. However, I was never treated like one!

On his new plans.

Chocolate City says I can't go anywhere but they will have to sue me to enforce that and we will meet in court.

On who his new management will be.

This is music business.
By the time you shop for a few weeks, you'll find a manager and a publicist. The songs always come first so if I don't have an album in the works, what do I need a manager and publicist for.

On his current relationship with Chocolate City crew.

We have a very cordial relationship,
funny enough. We talk on phone and we even exchange visits. When I got my new car four months ago, I drove to Miss place and said 'come take a look at my car.' When we meet at events we still talk.

On his personal relationship.

Yes, I am in a relationship. But no plans for marriage right now. I met the lady in my life at a birthday party. What struck me about her was that she was tall and beautiful. The attraction was her height.
Who no go like fine girl? I like the way she carries herself and the way she treats me.

On marriage plans.

(Laughs) I am 27-years-old so I am still thinking of roaming around a little more before settling down.

Interview Excerpts:

Congratulations on your successful wedding. How has the marital journey being?

Thank you. When you embark on
journeys with friends or partners it's always a lot easier. We thank God, my husband and I are journeying very well.

Your traditional marriage a lot of
attention from the media? How did you feel?

Well, I was simply focused on marrying the man that has my heart, so the media attention was an unexpected bonus.
We're however grateful for all the love that was shown to us and all the heart felt messages of support and kinship that we received from family, friends, fans and the media community.

At your wedding, you cried when you hugged your brother. Why?

I hadn't seen my brother in a little
while. He's resident outside the
continent, so it was a tearful reunion. I'd missed him so much and was very glad that he could attend my wedding and give me away.

Should we expect a white wedding soon?

Yes, that's in the works. My husband and I are Catholic, and so a wedding in the church is of utmost importance. After the fanfare that followed the traditional ceremony, we wanted a breather. I'll be sure to pass on the details as soon as they're finalized

What do you miss the most about
your days of being single?

I know this may sound cliché but I don't miss anything. I'm happy with a man that loves me and whom I love in equal measure. What's to miss?

What's your definition of true love and happiness?

True love and happiness is waking up every morning and knowing today I'm not alone. It's the safety or security you feel when you know someone out there has your back.

How many babies do you intend
making?

If an entire football team is in God's
plans for me that's how many *Laughs*

What's the most romantic gesture you have gotten so far?

Every day I fall deeper in love with the man I married, so it would be near impossible to pick just one gesture. We make sure to show our love and affection for each other regularly and in different ways

Do you have any regrets in life?

As long as you have life, there is hope and so no, I don't harbor regrets. The scars of yesterday could turn out to be smiles tomorrow.

Nigeria’s Michael Jackson Regrets Not Meeting Him (PHOTOS)

Expressing regrets in a chat with
Showtime, Walko-Chilko said, “ The
greatest mistake I have ever made in my life was my inability to meet Michael before his death. While he lived, people advised me to send my photograph to him, but I never took the advice seriously until after his death.”

I believe I have the same look with Michael Jackson despite my colour. I admire Jackson very much and I believe even the life a black man is living today is imitated,” he
explained.

The pop star’s new album is being
dedicated to the late Michael Jackson Heal The World Foundation. According to him, Jackson’s legacy has to be sustained.

“I wrote the song in support of Michael Jackson’s Heal the World Foundation. It was written because children of the world need helping hands.”

Gays Deserve Equality - Obama Tells African Leaders

US President Barack Obama has oncebagained defended gay rights across the Africa but now citing Nelson Mandela's plight as inspiration Obama said he understood that different religions and cultures adhered to different beliefs and traditions, but that the simple principle of equality should be the guide for states and governments. "I want the African people to just hear what I believe," Obama said.

He said this in a country where being gay is a crime and punishable by serving prison sentence
"My basic view is that regardless of race, regardless of religion, regardless of gender, regardless of sexual orientation, when it comes to how the law treats you… people should be treated equally."
Senegalese President Macky Sall replied that though Senegal was a "very tolerant country which does not discriminate in terms of inalienable rights of the human being", it was not ready yet to decriminalise homosexuality. "But of course this does not mean that we are all homophobic."

Obama revealed that he will still head to South Africa despite rumours that Nelson Mandela is in critical condition, He therefore revealed that Mandela was the man who incited political activism in him and he was inspired by Mandela's example when he was a student
"I think he is a hero for the world and if and when he passes from this place, one thing I think we will all know is, his legacy is one that will linger on through the ages," Obama said.

With the US facing big debt problems, wont it be wise that he focuses on his country's agenda We Africans don't need to always follow the way shown by the Americans especially on gay agenda, Granted we do have tough laws against homosexuality but please if the US is soo agitated about rights of homosexuals in Africa they can open their gate and take them all cause Africans are not yet ready

across an official press
release clearly stating

It has come to our notice that some people unscrupulous rumour peddlers have chosen to malign Davido's hard work ethic and reputation.

Davido has been on his European tour for a few weeks and landed in Budapest, Hungary on Friday June 21 for his Budapest stop. He was met with what is perhaps the worst case of unprofessionalism from a promoter in hisvcareer as a touring artiste. The promoter in this case is known as Mr Frank of BLACK DIAMOND ENTERTAINMENT. To the dismay of his management, the
agreements on Davido's ryder were not met despite assurances written and verbal that everything was set. Please note the following facts:.

Against their agreement, Davido and his management were given a one bedroom suite to house them during their stay in Budapest.

The promoter had issues with the venue for the show. Up until the night of the performance, the venue had not been paid for and Davido's management were informed that he might not be able to perform on the stage. This was finally sorted a few minutes to the show.
When it was finally time to perform, the promoter had not arranged for sound and Davido only managed the situation and decided to perform because of his fans that had paid to attend the concert.

A fight broke out at the club and the promoters did not arrange any form of security for Davido, it was the intervention of the venue security guards that ensured that he got back to his hotel room in safety.

Davido and his management did not receive any direct payments from the said promoter. Infact the promoter is yet to pay up in full Davido's performance fees as agreed.

Davido and his management team
catered to their every need while in
