Abuja - The Conference of Nigeria
Peoples Party, (CNPP) has warned
the All Progressives Congress
(APC) against accepting defecting
People’s Democratic Party(PDP)
members in the new year,
according to Premium Times
The CNPP insist that more PDP
defections to the APC fold could
lead to a one-party system in the
country.

This was made known by the
spokesperson of the group, Osita
Okechukwu.

Governors Musa Kwankwaso of
Kano State and Chibuike Amaechi
had hinted that more PDP
members and governors would
soon leave the party. On
November 26, Amechi and
Kwankwaso along with Aliyu
Wamakko (Sokoto), Murtala Nyako
(Adamawa) and Abdulfatah Ahmed
(Kwara) left the PDP for APC.

APC became the majority in the
lower legislative chamber after 37
members of the House of
Representatives left the PDP.
Presently there are reports that 22
senators will defect to the APC in
