Nollywood Actress Uche Ogbodo Reveals her Reason Why She Secretely Married A UK-Based Man – ‘Most Nigerian Men Don’t Understand Nollywood’

Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo wedded her UK based ex-footballer fiancé, Apo Arthur, on the 5th October 2013 in
Nkanu, Enugu is not a secret anymore. But Uche sure did a pretty good job of keeping it under wraps until after the wedding.

In a recent interview with Encomiumbmagazine, Uche talked about why she chose a secret wedding, how she met her
man and why she married him. And if she will relocate abroad after their whitevwedding.

Congratulations, we heard you are
married?

Yes, that is true. Thank you.
How does it feel to be married?
It is God’s blessing. It is a thing of joy, everybody prays for it.

Why did you opt for a secret
wedding?

We have done everything we need to do, the main ceremony will take place soon.
Most likely before this year runs out, the white wedding will take place. So, I cannot say I had a secret wedding per se.

How and when did you meet your
husband?

I met him in Nigeria, at a colleagues birthday. Immediately I saw him, I knew he was my husband. It is more than abyear ago now.

How did he approach and propose
to you?

He stood and was staring at me. He told
me something said he should just talk to me and he did. We introduced ourselves,I told him I was an actress, that was it.

Tell us more about him.

His name is Apo. He is from Anambra State. He is an ex-footballer based in thevUnited States of America.
A lot of men stop their wives from
acting after marriage, what will
happen to your acting career?
He knows I am an actress. I told him immediately I met him and he likes what I do. He supports me career wise. He understands what is happening in ourbindustry, he is in full support.

Why the choice of a U.K-based
man?

Men that have travelled far and widebknow what is happening in the industry, he is exposed. He has mingled with people from other cultural backgrounds and with different people. A lot of
Nigerian men don’t really understand what is happening in the industry, mostespecially if they are not into
entertainment. He too is into show
business as well. So, he understands the terrain. I think it is quite easy that way.
He has mingled with a lot of show
business stars, he knows as an actress, I have to mingle with friends so I can get movie roles. I have to kiss in movies and
I can be away for some days. So, it is a good thing to have someone who understands you.

What is happening to you career
wise?

I am still very active in the industry. I have been very busy of recent. I have done a lot, some of the movies I featured will soon be out. Agunba will soon be out, Onyewa will also be out. I have been very busy. More movies will be released very soon.

Will you be relocating abroad after
your wedding?

I love to be with him, but I still have to continue with my career. I will be shuttling U.K and Nigeria. Thank God I can travel anytime I want. I still want to continue with my acting career, so I will be on and off.

I Can Never Marry A Poor Man - Empress Njamah

Nollywood actress, Empress Njamah as with many celebrities
has been trailed by different
scandals.
Despite the enormous controversies that almost denied her the limelight, she is still able to keep her head up.
In a recent interview, the actress revealsvthat she can never settle down with a poor man.

See excerpts from the interview:

What's your dream man like?
Let me tell you something about life, I will not come here today and tell you I want a God-fearing man, he must be tall, he must be this, he must be that. I have once said something about what I want
in a man, and then the person I fell in love with was the exact opposite. You cannot dictate feelings, you cannot dictate emotions, that's why there's
something called love at first sight, you cannot tell.

I'm not going to clone a man that I
want. There is this thing called chemistry, once you see it, you know it. I won't come here and tell you that he must be tall and he must have six packs, I'm not
crazy about that, so basically what I want in a man are what I'll probably see at that point and what'll attract me at that point.

So you are saying you can settle for any man whether rich or poor?
I'm not going to tell you what I want.

But you get into an expensive shop to pick up something because you can afford it. You see something you can afford, then you buy it but if you cannot afford it, take a walk.

The goods are for someone that can
afford it, that's the best I can tell you. I will not settle for less, my sister and that's the truth. People come and tell you all sort of lies and want to praise themselves and say "I can marry a Poor man" the poor man no know wetin him see, abeg!.

I dey tell una say I am a real person, we all have been through tough times, we all have paid our dues one way or the other. So no poor man must get close to me. Those who know the worth pay the dues.

'Any Man Coming Into My Life Now Is Just Coming To Suffer' - Frank Edoho's Ex

Three years after her
separation from her 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire's host, Frank Edoho, Katherine obiang has opened up why she is not ready to
remarry now.
Katherine recently said that she is having a lot of suitors, it could have been a while great news for those who would consider her hand in marriage, however, she has made it clear that Mr. Right is definitely going to suffer because she is chasing money at the moment and has no time to pay an attention to any relationship.
presently and will not have time to give the relationshipnship the attention needed.

Hear her, "I am taking a breather. Right now, I have young children. After you have been in a relationship for so long, I think it is healthy to open your mind to other things. Let's chase money first, it will come along. When you look at your children, you want to give them so many things, so let me focus on that." She also said, "My parents do ask me, especially my mum. I am busy doing so many things, which include Lekki Wives Season II.Anyone who comes into my life now is just coming to suffer. I can't focus on that person. It is not that I don't get attention, I do. I get all sorts of attention, but I am not ready. I think in our society, people don't understand when you say you are not ready.

They look at me, like I must be mad; but that is the truth. For me, I don't want to bargain, because there are so many things to consider. I am on the radio from 10am to 3pm. From that time to wherever, I am running against time and, of course, I must also pay attention."

How I Was Tricked into an Adult Film Production – Charles Inojie

Popular comic-actor, Charles Inojie is still wondering how he was Tricked into featuring in that lewd film titled ‘Calabar Girl’ directed by Jerry Don Nwachukwu. The film was produced by Divine Ezeibekwe and banned immediately after it was released sometime in May, this year by the National Film and Video CensorsnBoard.

Read the excerpts Charles’ interview
where he speaks on this and many other experiences…

A Comic-Actor!.

Do you know that I am not aware that I am a comedian? There are places I visit today and I tell people that I am not a regular comedian; someone you see and
you start laughing or someone who is ever ready to act as a clown when the occasion does not call for it. I see myself as a very serious person. I see myself as a good actor.
If I do comedy roles well, it is only
because that is where I have probably, been most tested and again not a function of any kind of training I had.
Except that I probably just have it in me.
I believe that my late grandmother had the strongest sense of humour that I ever find ound in anyone and I benefited generously from her talent. Maybe, I am one of those you would say are naturally gifted as humourist.
School of Hard Knocks I hate it when I hear people say, I am self-made. There is no one on earth that is self made otherwise people like us are not supposed to be where we are today.
When I picked my bag one morning and told my father I had secured admission into the University of Port Harcourt, the man only laughed at me. We were living in Ogun State then, and I hail from Edo State.

He said, ‘you did not try to gain admission into the now Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma or University of Benin so that your financial challenges could be better curtailed. But now that you are going to UNIPORT, would help come your way?’.
In school, it was just me and my closest neighbour which is poverty. When I woke up in the morning, the first person that told me good morning was poverty. But I think God gave me a special grace.
Beyond all these travails, there was
always a point I wanted to get to, and that was to graduate from the university at the end of the day.

moment. I am focused right now on my movie and creche. The story that I fought Laide Bakare over K1 De Ultimate was fabricated. The stories come from young journalists who cook up stories to impress their editors," she said.
On her thought on marriage she said, "marriage is honourable, marriage is beautiful when you have two people that share the same feelings being in it.

When a man and his wife love each other genuinely, they have true feelings for each other, they could make it work. But as for me, I don't have any problem with marriage; I just feel that when the time is not there, it's not there. When you are not ready for it, you are not ready for it.
When aked if she is not ready for
marriage, she said, "well, I'll say I'm not because If I am,why am I still single?
